Ahi Tuna with Medjool Date and Cucumber Relish

 

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup Pitted and chopped Medjool dates
  • 1/2 cup Chopped English cucumbers
  • 2 Tbsp Grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tsp Soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Grated orange zest
  • 4, 5 oz Ahi tuna steaks
  • 1 Tbsp Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Cooking Instructions

  1. To make the relish, mix Medjool dates, cucumber, ginger, orange zest and soy sauce in a large bowl. Set aside.
  2. Preheat pan to searing temperature
  3. Season tuna with salt and pepper and sear in a skillet over high heat with 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Cook to desired doneness.
  4. Place tuna on serving dish and spoon relish over the fish.

Serve immediately.
