Iced Salted Caramel Latte (Made with Date Caramel)

Start your day with a refreshing iced salted caramel latte made with vegan and refined sugar-free date caramel.

Ingredients

  • 1 Natural Delights pitted Medjool date
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup of cacao powder
  • 2 shots espresso or about 6 ounces strongly brewed coffee
  • 6-8 ounces unsweetened plant milk

Preparation

1. Add the date, almond butter, salt, vanilla and espresso to a blender. Blend until completely smooth.

2. Add to a tall glass filled with ice. Pour plant milk over the espresso mixture and stir to combine.

3. Serve immediately.

*While Medjool dates are high in natural sugars, they are low on the glycemic index thanks to a balanced amount of soluble fiber. The complex carbohydrates found in Medjool dates are digested at a slower rate, making them a source of dietary fiber and releasing energy to the body over a longer period of time.
