Recipe by Brit's Bites.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Natural Delights Medjool Date Strips with Tajín
  • 1 cup California Walnuts
  • 1 cup wasabi peas
  • 1 cup coconut chips
  • 1 cup pretzels
  • ⅓ cup coconut oil
  • ½ cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Preparation

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Pour your date strips, walnuts, coconut chips, wasabi peas, and pretzels into a large bowl.
  3. Melt coconut oil (low heat) in a pan, then stir in honey.
  4. Drizzle melted coconut oil and honey over them. Now sprinkle on the chili powder, cayenne pepper, salt and cinnamon. Then toss everything together to make sure they are well coated.
  5. Pop the trail mix in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes. Be sure to stir them with a spatula every 5 minutes so they cook evenly. You'll know they're done when they're a light golden brown and smell super nutty.
  6. Once they're out of the oven, let the trail mix cool completely right on the baking sheet. Then you can divide them up into airtight containers for easy snacking!
