- 6 tbsp unsalted butter
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp vanilla
- ½ large apple, thinly sliced
- 6 Natural Delights Fresh Medjool dates, flattened a bit with a rolling pin
- Cake
- ¼ cup milk
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
- ¾ cup apple sauce
- ¾ cup plain, unsweetened yogurt
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp ground flaxseed meal
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ¾ tsp baking powder
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp ground nutmeg
- ½ tsp salt
