The Medjool (say “meh-jewel”) Date is our most popular.
They’re available with or without the pit, and available conventionally-grown and with organic certification.
Origin: Bard Valley, CA
The taste: Rich caramel-like sweetness with hints of brown sugar and honey
The texture: Soft, tender, and naturally juicy with a melt-in-your-mouth bite
The nutrition: Medjool dates can help support metabolic health by helping to lower cholesterol, triglycerides, and blood glucose levels and have also been studied for supporting natural labor late in pregnancy
Try them: As a snack, dessert or on a charcuterie board. Or blend into smoothies and stuff with meats or cheeses. And try any time you want a natural sweetness
-
Open wide and say “ahh-jwa.” It’s chewier than other dates and not as sweet.
Origin: Saudi Arabia
The taste: Mild sweetness with subtle caramel and light spice undertones
The texture: Soft and moist
The nutrition: Rich in antioxidants that can help protect against free radical damage and inflammation
Try them: As a wellness snack, during Ramadan or anytime with coffee or tea
-
“Deglet” is easy to pronounce. “Noor” sounds like “sure.” They’re like miniature versions of Medjool dates with a delightful amber color and more of a honey-like flavor.
Origin: USA, Tunisia, Algeria
The taste: Mild sweetness with subtle nutty, lightly honey notes
The texture: Semi-dry, firm texture. Less sticky and more structured bite
The nutrition: This research shows that sugars from Deglet Noor dates can be helpful for the gut lining and support the gut after antibiotic use
Try them: Chopped on oatmeal, and in salads and grain bowls, baking (date bread, muffins, cookies), savory cooking (tagines, rice dishes) and everyday snacking.

Interestingly, even one of these dates is called a Khalas. But no worries, if you enjoy the taste of caramel and toffee, you will never eat just one.
Origin: Saudi Arabia
The taste: Balanced sweetness with caramel and toffee notes
The texture: Medium-soft texture. Smooth skin, less fibrous
The nutrition: These dates are low on the glycemic index, testing around 55, making them a healthy sweet option for those looking for blood-sugar-friendly treats
Try them: Paired with Arabic coffee, stuffed with nuts or soft cheeses. As the star of your charcuterie platters and for snacking and light desserts
-
Our Khudri dates are of the red variety (they also come in “black” and “white”) — and have a beautifully complex taste profile that gets along well with other foods.
Origin: Saudi Arabia
The taste: Rich, deep sweetness with slight chew
The texture: Dark brown to reddish skin. Firm to moderately soft texture. Less sticky than softer varieties
The nutrition: Rich in naturally occurring sugars and magnesium to support exercise and muscle recovery
Try them: For everyday snacking, added to trail mixes, chopped and added to baked goods and in energy bites or protein snacks

Sukkaris are, quite possibly, the most unique date we know of. They’re smaller than others and are absolutely incredible out of the refrigerator.
Origin: Saudi Arabia
The taste: Extremely sweet, honey-like flavor
The texture: Slight chew with tender interior. Very soft, almost melt-in-your-mouth
The nutrition: This variety is slightly higher in fiber than others, with about 8g fiber per 100g, making them a great choice for gut health and digestion
Try them: For dessert, paired with coffee or tea and blended into smoothies or shakes.
