Mexican Fruit Salad

This delicious and refreshing fruit salad combines the sweetness of tropical fruit with the unique flavor of Medjool Date Strips with Tajin!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Natural Delights Medjool Date Strips with Tajin
  • 1 1/2 cups ripe mango, diced
  • 1 1/2 cups pineapple, diced
  • 1 1/2 cups cantaloupe, diced
  • 1 1/2 cups watermelon, diced
  • 1 1/2 cups honeydew, diced
  • Juice of 1-2 limes
  • 1/2 Tbsp Tajin seasoning
  • Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)

Preparation

  1. Dice the mango, pineapple, cantaloupe, watermelon, and honeydew into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add the Medjool Date Strips with Tajin and lime juice.
  3. Season with Tajin.
  4. Gently toss the fruit salad to combine all of the ingredients.
  5. Garnish with fresh mint leaves, if desired.

*While Medjool dates are high in natural sugars, they are low on the glycemic index thanks to a balanced amount of soluble fiber. The complex carbohydrates found in Medjool dates are digested at a slower rate, making them a source of dietary fiber and releasing energy to the body over a longer period of time.
